ECONOMIC JUSTICE POD
The Economic Justice Pod exists to ensure that Gente lead organizers feel resourced and hopeful about our collective future. Specifically, we are responsible for organizing the necessary resources to sustain the power-building and wellness activities of our organizers. We do so by centering community organizing and participatory budgeting in our activities and by confronting predatory capitalist practices in our respective work and community.
Our north star is for all members that interact with us to feel resourced in being part of the Gente community and as a result, feel more hopeful about their future.
Our pod is anchored by Gente staff and Board Members which provide community oversight and accountability.
